Experienced Health & Safety Coordinator required, Tring based company. Experience in a manufacturing environment, familiarity with ISO standards and NEBOSH certificate is a definite advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years working knowledge of H&S legislation gained within a manufacturing environmentReporting into the Health & Safety Manager, the role is to carry out risk assessments, manage accident reporting and procedure, liaising with Production regarding H&S issues. The job is equally split between writing reports, carrying out H&S training and administration. Potential for travel to USA to attend meetingsTate's client offers a good working environment with free on-site parking. Salary (subject to experience) is £25k-£30k plus benefits which include Life Assurance, Pension, 25 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays) rising to 27 after 5 years serviceMain Tasks:· Responsible for all company Environmental and Health & Safety regulations· Carry out Risk Assessments · Develop and implement Quality, Environment, H&S policies· Maintain ISO 14001:2004· Manage and approve Change Control, Deviation, and OOT incidents· Monthly reporting of progress and updates· Conduct required audits· Act as main point of contact for H&S· Organise external safety training as requiredRequired Skills & Experience:· Minimum of 5 years working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation· Knowledge and experience of working in a manufacturing environment with a strong H&S culture· Internal Audit Certification· Knowledge and experience of maintaining ISO Standards 14001 (Environmental) accreditation· Knowledge and experience in the concepts of Quality Assurance and a good understanding of current Regulatory Requirements and Industry Standards· Good IT skills (in particular Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)· Ability to work independently under own initiative· Ability to liaise at all levels of the business· Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)· Methodical, analytical, eye for detail and a good communicatorDesirable· NEBOSH certificate · Working knowledge of ISO 18001 (Health and Safety)· Experience within the packing industry · Experience of Lean manufacturing techniquesTo apply for this position, please submit your CV in MS-WORD format
