Bookkeeper & Office Administrator (3 days per week)
We have an energetic design company based in Winchester looking for an experienced part time bookkeeper/office admin person to join their dynamic team. They require someone 3 days per week but are very flexible on the days and hours.The successful candidate needs to be organised, confident, proactive and able to use their own initiative. The range of duties will mainly be financial, but also some supporting administrative and organisational tasks. Our client requires you to have a good understanding of accounting procedures and proven experience using Sage 50. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets) Word & Outlook are essential.
Key duties-· Generating and issuing of invoices.· Chasing customer payments· Monitor and update client invoicing spread sheets.· Paying suppliers.· Bank reconciliation and daily cash flow management.· Monthly Payroll · Manage HMRC submissions of VAT returns.· Year end in partnership with the company accountants.· Pensions maintained and paid for staff. General Administration -· Management of holidays calendars· Overseeing employee contract management· Communications with customer accounts departments by phone and email· Ensuring various insurance policies an contracts are renewed Skills and Attributes -· Solid Understanding of basic book keeping and accounting payable/receivable principles· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records· Data entry skills and high numeracy skills· Customer service orientated and a team player· Strong multitasking and time management skills· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
