Technical Administrator required by leading importer of lighting and electrical products to join their small friendly team in Luton. An understanding of lighting would be a definite advantage. An understanding of lighting test certificates and/or the ability to research and understand the information/requirements is required along with previous experience of liaising with ChinaTate's client can offer a good working environment, working as part of a small and friendly team with scope for future development. Salary £22k-£24k (depending on experience) plus profit share scheme, on-site parking, hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pmThe role is to communicate with factories in the Far East to ensure all new products hold the correct legal, safety, recycling and technical specifications to meet UK regulatory standards and record the details on a database. Main tasks:· Manage technical database to ensure each new product has correct certificates and documentation· Liaise with factories in Far East to obtain legal, safety, recycling and technical specifications for each product· Ensure each comply with UK standards· Assist with packaging design and labels· Writing product data sheets and instructions to include features & benefits· Produce product bulletins for internal teams· Product training and technical support to internal teams and field based sales teams· Investigating product problems and provide support to non-technical customers and internal teams· Deal with inbound calls from non-technical customers· Goods inwards inspections; determining product to be inspected and recording outcome in line with the company's ISO processes· Assisting with developing product training for sales staffRequired Skills & Experience for this Role:· Strong administration and communication skills· Technically minded, ideally with an understanding of electrical lighting· Good experience of liaising with factories and suppliers in China· Proactive, self-motivated and methodical· Relationship builder with customers and internal teams· Good attention to detail and accuracyTo apply for this position, please submit your CV in MS-WORD format
