Are you from a Demand Planning background? A new role is available for a client based in Hemel Hempstead.£27,000 - £30,000Monday - Friday 8.30-17.00, working 1 weekend in 8· To manage the Product Supply activities to achieve success in all key performance indicators including in-full, forecast accuracy and stock write-off.· To build, maintain and develop strong relationships with all customers, Operations, QA and suppliers to ensure a reliable, efficient supply chain from factory to DC to customer. · Best-in class supplier management and effective communication & information sharing across the full supply chain. · To support on value add projects and business change initiatives.· Deputise for Senior Demand Planner in periods of absence.· Ownership of forecasts and effective management for group of products and suppliers.· To achieve 99% service level from DC to customers, expediting the supply chain where necessary.· Ensure planning models, forecasts, ordering parameters & stock projections are creating the perfect order to assure supply with maximum efficiency & minimum cost. · Liaise with designated DC to ensure optimum stock holding and order policies are set and supplier issues are resolved.· Responsible for ensuring necessary escalation and issue, impact, resolution processes are in place and supported by the full engagement of all key stakeholders.· Effective transition management of substitutions, discontinued and new product, minimising waste/residual and optimising availability.· Effectively plan with entire team to manage and execute key events, e.g. product launches, peak periods.· Plan and direct regular review meetings involving internal and external stakeholders.· Develop relationships with customers Purchasing and Quality teams to understand and support their initiatives ensuring communication flow is maintained, accurate and timely. · To collaborate with the DC Operations ensuring inbound deliveries scheduling and distribution activity is managed and co-ordinated efficiently and to budget. · Work in conjunction with the Supplier Collaboration Manager to manage relationships with all vendors ensuring on-time & in-full delivery.In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder from time to time is required to perform other duties assigned by the Line Manager.This will suit an individual from the following background:· Degree educated or similar qualification in a technical discipline.· Experience of managing an operational end to end supply chain.· Industry experience in an FMCG / Retail environment· Process driven with evidence of change management and continual improvement.· Problem solver, analytical thinker, able to articulate the case and engage people to support to achieve the goal.Essential:· Systems - MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) / Demand & Supply Planning i.e. Manugistics, SAP, JDA, Oracle or similarDesirable:· Knowledge and/ or experience of manufacturing and production environments, CIPS / CILT qualifiedYou will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills in verbal, written and formal presentation formats, along with a strong ability to influence and lead thinking up to senior management levels.
