My client, an International insurance provider, is looking for a Business Development Consultant to join them on a 1 year maternity cover contract.The purpose of the role is to deliver key business objectives for the client related to new business sales.Key Accountabilities:· To promote the products and services provided through direct sales and broker relations.· To create and support an environment in which there are high standards of regulatory compliance, account management and new business acquisition.· To understand competitors and their product offerings in comparison to the clients own offering.· To obtain and feedback market intelligence to execute effective distribution and product development strategies.· Attend networking events appropriate to the business.· Contribute to the development and implementation of service and product proposition.· To provide statistical and management information as and when requested· Acquire, maintain and record an accurate level of appropriate technical, product and regulatory knowledge and skill in accordance with the job role. · Attainment of targets as outlined on performance appraisal and during 121 sessions with manager· To undertake any ad hoc duties as and when requiredQualifications / Experience:· At least 2 years relevant managerial, account management and business development experience.· A past record of successful sales and business relationship development.· Good understanding of the (international) health insurance market placed.· Desirable- knowledge of Healthcare and insurance Experience of working within a Regulated FCA environment is also desirable
