Systems Administrator - Southampton - Full Time - Permanent Salary£23k to £28K per annum dependant on experience Working HoursMonday to Friday from 09:00am to 17:30 pm LocationSouthamptonBusiness Unit Function:Based out of the System Admin Team, assisting in providing Level 3 support for Managed Service Customers, responsible for self-managing Managed services tickets assigned to the System Admin queue, calendars and own schedule. Also attending customer sites for support days when required too.Leading: · Infrastructures and the services that we manage, · providing technical support for escalated issues and tickets that are not able to be resolved within the technical hierarchal structure.· Attend Site for Support days as required under contract· Assist in the completion of Pre-sales as per documented process· Completion of Projects in line with scope of worksYou will monitor and co-ordinate:· Infrastructures and the services that we manage, · Providing technical support for escalated issues and tickets that are not able to be resolved within the technical hierarchal structure.· Attend Site for Support days as required under contract· Assist in the completion of Pre-sales as per documented process· Completion of Projects as and when required in line with scope of worksAccountabilities & Responsibilities· Ensure that all requests are completed within agreed SLAs and that team KPIs are met in line with operating procedures· liaising extensively with external and or internal clients;· analysing clients' existing systems and making recommend improvements;· documenting systems as part of on-boarding the completion of project work;· working closely with colleagues, third parties and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;· planning and working flexibly to deadlines;· System Administration tasks to include Patch Management, Incident Management, Problem Management Application and system updates;· providing training and user manuals to users of a new system;· Assist in the Implementation, configure and test new technologies and applications· The role will also require you to be part of the On-Call rota which will be based on a 1 in 4 basisSoft Skills:· Customer focused· Analytical approach with close attention to detail· Good verbal and written communication skills· Confident and self-motivated with a positive can do attitude· Team player · Basic understanding of ITIL principles· Highly organized, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines· Passionate about current and future technologies Technical skillso Analyse systems requirementso Implement, configure and test new technologies and applicationso Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008/2012/2016 management and maintenance experience essentialo Microsoft SQL Support experience o Exchange 2010, 2013 & 2016 Management and Support experience essential A working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and vSphere is essentialo Storage fundamentalso SIEM Administration and Management would be beneficial (desirable) o Cisco networking skills (ASA/Meraki) (desirable)o Network patching (cabling)o Windows patchingo Office 365 deployment & administrationo Azure (desired)o Desktop management systems experience (desirable)o Backup administration (cloud experience desirable)o Microsoft Office 2010-2016o Citrix administrationo Hyper V & Vm Ware o Linux (desirable) o Experience in configuring monitoring thresholds for Windows enviornmentQualificationso Server 2016 Datacentre MCSA (Expectation to complete within 6 months)70-740 Installation, Storage, and computer with Windows Server 201670-741 Networking with Windows Server 2016 70-742 Identity with Windows Server 2016
