General:· Reporting to the General Manager & Managing Director this role is responsible for the management of relationships · There is 1 Assistant Sales Manager on the Department.· There are 4 other Sales Executives in the Sales Department.Key Areas of Responsibility (K.A.R.s)1. Functional responsibilities:· To follow up on sales leads and enquiries from existing clients by working to the standard processes for generating enquiries, producing quotations, following up on quotations and updating internal systems with status on delivery due dates.· To help clients identify their product needs and deal with any client questions.· To negotiate with clients on prices and terms of potential sales (involving line manager as appropriate)· To carry out more detailed Investigations through discussion / correspondence with clients for more complex potential sales orders. · To co-ordinate support from staff to help provide technical guidance and advice for clients and find solutions to more complex client requirements. · To follow up to order processing and support order progressing and account management as required.· To make promotional calls and make visits to clients in line with agreed frequency to maintain client relationships and keep abreast of client requirements. · To support the preparation for and to attend trade shows and exhibitions as appropriate..· To develop a minimum of 5 potential clients · To make contact as appropriate with potential clients and engage with them to learn about their business requirements and establish a relationship· To support the Purchasing and Administration function through providing technical expertise as required in support of the process for sourcing suppliers. · To ensure that client delivery dates are monitored and updates are provided to clients as appropriate.· To undertake other duties as may be reasonably requiredEssential Experience:· Experience of account management.· Experience of working in a commercial environment/Experience of sales and sales negotiations
