** Marketing / Business Development Assistant **IMMEDIATE START AND INTERVIEWS

£20K - £24KExcellent training and benefits packageGuildford, SurreyLeading firm based in Guildford is seeking a Marketing / Business Development Assistant to provide professional support service to the wider team, to ensure that the BD strategy is delivered in accordance with the agreed plan and that the department positively contributes to the overall business plan of the firm.

The role will provide the successful candidate with good exposure to all elements of BD and Marketing (branding, PR, comms, digital, pitching, business planning and targeting)

Key areas of the role will cover the following:

Business Development:· Research projects - to undertake ad hoc research for pitch and targeting opportunities. This will involve profile and firm research, using both internal and external resources.· Pitch and presentation materials - to assist with the preparation of pitch and presentation materials and provide conference and international trip support· BD tool kit - to ensure the various BD tool kits are kept accurate and up-to-date

Digital Support · Updating the corporate website - for example adding new pages, news, profiles and deal experience. Arranging corporate photography shoots.· Helping with social media communications - new posts, monitoring coverage, key trends and analysis.· Helping with email/digital communications - production of newsletters/legal updates and analysis on individual campaigns.

Brand and Communications· Helping to develop the firms brand and ensuring brand guidelines are adhere to.· Helping to update BD and marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, adverts etc.) both on and off-line and to ensure these are kept up to date and presented consistently.· To ensure documents accurately reflect original request.· This will include proof reading the document(s), checking spelling, grammar, sense, amendments and overall brand presentation.· Providing support on external communications, monitoring press coverage and keeping internal databases up to date.· Providing support on certain internal communications.

Design / Production of materials· Design of materials for digital and print - new flyers, brochures, adverts and digital media imagery, whether they are produced internally through InDesign / Photoshop / Illustrator or outsourced to an agency.· Production of materials - whether they are printed internally or externally.· Image library - manage the image library and ensure all imagery adheres to the brand guidelines.

Requirements· Exceptional attention to detail and organising skills· Good written and verbal skills with excellent attention to detail· Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines· Willingness to work overtime on events / other projects when required· Ability to use own initiative and to make considered decisions with the support and guidance of your line manager· Creativity, innovation and resilience· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Experience· Experience using InDesign, Mail Chimp, social media and working within a Content Management System (CMS) is advantageous but training would be available on all systems· Experience using design software platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) would be valuable· An understanding and experience of working with third party suppliers would be preferred· An active team player with a flexible approach to working but able to operate independently also· Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
