A successful not for profit members club in the heart of Mayfair, are seeking a new Front of House Receptionist to join their team. This role us to provide an efficient and courteous service to all members, before, during and after their stay. To ensure the smooth arrival and departure of members and their guests and to maintain the companies high service standards.

HOURS OF WORK:

Full time position

Five (5) days a week on a rota basis

Early Shift: 07.00 - 15.00

Late Shift: 14.30 - 22.30

DUTIES:


  • To greet members and their guests with efficiency, courtesy and friendliness when they arrive in the club and at all times

  • To always try and help members with their queries and where unable to do so personally, to pass on the query to a colleague immediately

  • Where a member makes a complaint, to follow the club's procedures relating to member complaints, always demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, politeness and interest in the member's comments. If you cannot answer the member's complaint, pass it on to a colleague who may be better placed than you to deal with it, and ensure you inform the member the name of the colleague to whom you have passed on their comment. Record complaints in accordance with the club's procedure. Always thank members for their comments

  • To make room reservations using the club's system

  • To pass on restaurant reservations to the relevant venue

  • To maintain effective communication with all departments and ensure that the Reception Manager and Front Office Manager are kept well informed of any problems/queries from members or colleagues

  • To be fully conversant with and follow the club's fire and evacuation procedure

  • To maintain the correct standard of appearance and personal grooming

  • To comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations and adopt a clean, safe working environment

  • To attend any departmental or League training sessions and/or meetings as required

  • To be fully conversant with, and abide by, the company staff handbook and policies and procedures pertaining to reception, including obligations under the Data Protection legislation

  • To gain and maintain rapport with reception colleagues

  • To answer all incoming calls according to the standards of the club

  • To take reservation calls and make reservations according to the club's procedure

  • To ensure the reception desk is staffed at all times

  • Whilst working for the League there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the club, members, guests and employees. It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and employees, unless required to do so by law. Please refer to the Staff handbook regarding confidentiality

  • As the club's level of business varies, there is a real need for flexibility in approach including doing tasks of a broadly comparable nature as requested by the Reception Manager or Front Office Manager

  • At all times, all staff must be friendly, courteous and efficient with a "can do" attitude
