Second Line IT Support
<£12.50 per hour
Exciting opportunity to work within a global educational business for their facility based on the outskirts of basingstoke, situated in a beautiful building with excellent surroundings and free lunch on site Perfect for those who have a few years experience working 1st line who wish to progress or those already working as a second line technician to work within an amazing company.
If you have a current DBS Clarence this would put you at an advantage.
-To undertake as directed routine network maintenance including backups at specified intervals, implementing security and virus protection measures, setting up and maintaining user accounts and user groups, and maintaining logs of usage/faults as required
-To test and install new software, hardware and peripherals within level of competence
-To provide second line support role to all site IT technicians.
-To provide maintenance of networks, hardware and software as appropriate to training provided and competence gained
-Monitor repair logs and action work as required
-To check regularly and maintain peripheral equipment such as scanners, printers, whiteboards, projectors to ensure that these are functioning and available to users
-To maintain inventories of equipment as required
-To assist with ordering of equipment, materials and consumables as required, to ensure that value for money is obtained, appropriate levels of stock are held and that replacement supplies are obtained before stock runs out
-To manage, within the constraints of space, the safe, organised and tidy storage of equipment and consumables
-To undertake risk assessments for Display Screen Equipment users, and advise on safe use
-To assist with the provision of training sessions for staff, including ICT aspects of induction
-To provide ad hoc assistance/training to staff experiencing difficulties with using hardware or software.
