Tate Recruitment Agency are working in partnership with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust and are seeking to recruit NHS 111 Call Handlers for the call centre based in Bicester. This role is a in a busy, patient focused environment, handling calls from members of the public regarding urgent/emergency health problems.
Your role will be to effectively utilise NHS Pathways Triage software to provide the caller with an appropriate response to urgent healthcare needs within a timeframe, so you could be dispatching an ambulance or booking a GP appointment.
It is a challenging yet very rewarding role, and no shift is the same.

We have a number of part time positions ( 24, 18 and 12 hour contracts available)All staff will be expected to work Bank Holidays (inc Christmas, Easter etc). (Please note that you must be at least 18 years of age to apply for this role. This restriction is in place due to the night shift working required for this role)
You will be required to complete a six week full time training course in NHS Pathways. This covers full training in the systems and then supports coaching in the call centre environment. You will be supported in the call centre by Quality Assurance Coaches, Team Leaders, Clinical Advisors and Clinical Managers.

Please note that in order to be considered for this role you will need to be able to commit to a full time 6 week call handling and software assessment training course. These courses are usually held in Bicester.
This role will attract an unsocial hours allowance of up to 25%.
