Business Development Marketing Assistant
This is an exciting role providing support for all aspects of marketing and business development, with a particular focus on supporting the client care programme, PR, Communications and social media side. The role will be varied and interesting.
Supporting the Marketing Manager with the day to day press office and marketing communications
Support the client development Manager and the Digital Marketing Manager
§ Support of day to day press office management: handling incoming journalist enquiries, finding the relevant person to comment, setting up interviews, getting sign offs from relevant approvers, ensuring articles are written/submitted on time, researching and drafting press releases (eg new business wins/new people). Liaising with journalists.
§ Maintaining the PR WIP sheet and coverage log.
§ Downloading, filing and circulating coverage. Completing PR evaluation reports and dashboards
§ Supporting broader communication activity including award submissions, campaigns and internal communications
§ Liaising with the PR agency to maximise opportunities and help them achieve good results
§ Client care and client development
§ Facilitation of the client care programme, including identifying key themes, compiling list of targets and progressing and drafting quarterly reports for circulation to the wider partnership;
§ Digital
§ Support social media activity and analysis
§ Provide support as needed for digital campaigns and projects including planning, execution and measurement
§ Data management, email campaign tracking and distribution list management
§ Other support
§ Support the BD team with ad hoc projects
§ Assist with operational activity which may involve a variety of tasks ranging from document updates in Word, PowerPoint, excel and InDesign, database administration, website & intranet and research for strategy development.
§ Handle general enquiries from colleagues outside the BD department.
§ Assist with diary co-ordination, arranging meetings and booking meeting rooms.
Skills and qualities
§ Must be committed to supporting the team and be flexible with the tasks assigned.
§ Possess strong organisation and administration skills, ensuring prioritisation of tasks when working under pressure and to deadlines.
§ Excellent attention to detail, good writing and proof-reading skills
§ Some experience in PR, marketing communications or digital marketing
§ Strong communication skills with the confidence and ability to work with all levels of seniority.
§ A proactive approach coupled with the ability to use your own initiative.
§ A good team player who, with support from the senior team members, also demonstrates a commitment to continuous self-development.
§ A desire to develop a career in professional services marketing or PR
