Senior Buyer - Central Southampton - £19,217 per annum
Our large public sector client based in central Southampton require a Senior Buyer to join their experienced procurement team on a permanent basis.
You would be supporting the procurement manager in the delivery of the annual cost improvement plan. You will hold the ability to provide a high level of customer service to all and will be able to work from your own initiative in order to provide and effective procurement service.
Key Duties:
* The building of collaborative relationships.
* To support agreed procurement, policies and procedures to deliver strategic purchasing and supply activity.
* To liaise and network with customers, suppliers and supplier representatives.
* To support general buying in full
* Day to day administrative duties and staff supervision.

The ideal candidate for this role with have purchasing experience, and understanding of contract law. EU procurement law and cooperate governance. You must also be comfortable with travelling to customer locations as required.
