Q: How did you get to your current position? 
A: Within my roles at Tate, I have always managed a large temporary workforce. I started out as a Temp myself and worked my way through our career path. My Manager at the time and I identified a real ‘gap’ in Tate for a high volume, high touch delivery service and from this The Service Delivery Centre was born.

Q: What qualities do you look for in your team and why? 
A: When I recruit it is not always about experience – it’s about the passion they display and how ‘Customer Focussed’ they are. We have lots of fun in my team so a good sense of humour helps!

Q: What has been the biggest challenge in your career to date and why? 
A: As I am responsible for recruiting large numbers for our key customers across the country, I am faced with challenges every day. These range from the project brief changing, increasing/decreasing numbers and shortages of quality candidates.

Q: What advice would you give to a younger 'you' starting out in your career? 
A: Don’t be afraid of rejection! There are lots of agencies out there offering a ‘recruitment service’ but believe in what you do and who you work for and your client relationships will grow.

Q: What motivates you and why? What gets you up in the morning? 
A: My team and my family – these 2 are the same thing to me. I have 2 beautiful boys who make me proud every day and a team who make me smile, work hard and really go out of their way to make a difference to our customers. 

Q: What is your most memorable career moment? 
A: I was honoured to be awarded the Hertfordshire Business Person of the Year at the business awards in 2015

Q: What are your interests and hobbies outside of work?
A: Spending time with my sisters, friends and family is really important to me so socialising is always on my agenda at the weekends.
