Q: How did you get to your current position?
Hard work, sheer determination, great people around me whilst having lots of fun.
I’ve worked with David Clubb for 12 years & 5 years ago he asked me to join him at Tate to head up the City division and implement a vigorous growth plan. I now head up all of Tate London with operations in Bank & London Bridge, Moorgate & Canary Wharf, Mayfair, Holborn & Victoria and Uxbridge.

Q: What qualities do you look for in your team and why?

PACE  – the speed at which someone walks determines how successful they will be in recruitment! People who want to succeed, a winning mentality, resilience and really likeable people. We are in a people  business and ultimately people buy from people.

Q: What has been the biggest challenge in your career to date and why?
Recruitment gets more challenging every day right now with unemployment at an all-time low its harder to find candidates in a market that’s buoyant.  However, at Tate the candidate journey is our most important consideration & we stay close to our candidates and most of our placed candidates come from referrals.

Q: What advice would you give to a younger 'you' starting out in your career?

Breathe! Take it just as seriously, work hard, have lots of fun and celebrate every success.

Q: What motivates you and why? What gets you up in the morning?

Success motivates me and making things happen.  In my career I have always grown operations from scratch to something record breaking and this is what I do & this is why I go to work.

Q: What is your most memorable career moment?

Every year gets better and better and I love our annual awards to see my Managers & Consultants on stage.  This year is going to be a record breaker for my operation and we are counting on more awards than ever!

Q: What are your interests and hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy cooking, no one is allowed in the kitchen when I’m there, it’s my time.  I go to the gym and I run!  I ran this year’s London Marathon in extreme heat and beat my personal best.

Q: What is your favourite film?
Shawshank Redemption & just watched “IBIZA” which was awesome.

Q: Best book you've read?
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou.
