5/12/2008
Tate Basingstoke consultant Emma BedfordPatel has achieved a memorable double in becoming the UK’s top recruiter through the 2008 Individual Membership Recruitment Awards organised by the REC. http://www.rec.uk.com/home
Emma, who works in Tate’s Basingstoke branch in Wote Street, was not only crowned Permanent Recruiter of the Year in the awards, but also took the overall top title of Recruiter of the Year beating seven other contenders for the crown and winning herself a trip for two to Monte Carlo in the process.
Emma Morley, manager of Tate in Basingstoke, was obviously delighted by Emma’s win and said of her: “Emma’s consultative approach and equal focus on clients and candidates has enabled the branch to go from strength to strength, overachieving on budget and gaining further year on year growth.
Her skill, passion and results make her an ideal role model within the organisation to such a degree that she leads our National Perms Workshop, offering training and coaching to new and underperforming permanent consultants.”
The victory didn’t end there for Tate. It was neck and neck with Zoe Green and Zoë Wilson from the London office who were both nominated for Temporary Consultant of the Year award. Zoë Wilson was awarded the title Temporary Consultant of the Year and Zoe Green achieved the highly commended finalist place. Many congratulations also go to Natalie Rea from Worthing who achieved highly commended finalist place for Best Achievement From Training Award.
This is the second year the REC has staged the Individual Membership Recruitment Awards and again, there was a tremendous response with nominations across all the categories.
Anita Holbrow, the REC’s Director of Marketing, said: “These awards have already become a key event in the recruitment calendar and again, we are delighted to have had so many high quality entries which always make the final judging difficult.
“Emma is a really worthy winner, demonstrating her credentials as the consummate recruitment professional who is prepared to go that extra distance to ensure that both her clients and candidates receive exemplary service. Her achievements to date are testament to the high standards REC members deliver across this industry.”
