We are looking for Photogrammetric Operator's to join our client, Ordnance Survey, from April 6th 2010 for a project expected to be of 6-months duration. As a Photogrammetric Operator you will be working as a Tate Associate with the Ordnance Survey as part of a multi-disciplined team within the Photogrammetric Services Division. You will be working in a motivational environment to meet team and individual photogrammetric operator targets in order to achieve quality standards.
You will be creating 'height' imagery to the required accuracy standards every month.
Full training will be provided in the use of the software which may include BAe Systems SocetSet, TIFF QC, GIMP and Photoshop, previous experience is not expected. The role will also involve some general file management and use of Excel.
Associate's will be able to maintain a co-operative, efficient and tidy working environment with a high level of self-motivation, team working and initiative. You must be able to plan and schedule and monitor personal production to effectively contribute to the teams operational targets.
Although no experience is necessary in order to be able to train for this role, we would be interested in hearing from you if have been involved in a stereoscopic visual process/research or have taken part and passed in stereo visual tests. All successful candidates recommended to our client will be required to attend a half-day stereo visual eye-test at Ordnance Survey in order to assess if you have the ability to see in 'stereo'. It is estimated that approximately 1 in 3 persons have this ability. We aim to test for Stereo vision Mid to end of March.
You must pass this stereo visual test in order to be considered for taking part in the assignment. We are looking to recruit 8 associates for this project. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest in the role is the morning of Friday 5th March. Stereo Vision testing will take place between 15th - 26th March. Offers will be made after 26th March, and the assignment will start Tuesday 6th April.
The role is Monday to Friday, minimum 37 hours per week, paid weekly. Employed on a temporary contract with Tate.
