Dear Tate

I just want to say how thankful I am towards Leah Reeves and Emma Bedford Patel, two fantastic women in the Employment Industry. In September 2008 I left Bournemouth University with an Accountancy and Finance Degree. As we all know 2008 couldn’t have been a worse year to enter the employment market due to the recession and the downturn in the employment market. After applying for many jobs and joining a range of agencies I found myself at a dead end. However turning to Tate was probably the best decision I ever made, within a week of joining Tate they had found me work at the Gas Safe Register something I very much appreciated after being by then out of work for five months. This job allowed me to accesses my true skill sets and made me realise that I had a great way of communicating with customers and other employees knowing this I developed myself within this role.

After being at Gas Safe for a few months I realised that my skills could be used elsewhere. So Leah Reeves contacted me about a job opportunity within Shire Pharmaceuticals, a fantastic opportunity where I could work on a Global Budgeting Project. After being accepted for interview Tate realised that the position was also up for grabs by other agencies therefore Leah took me in to prep me for the upcoming interview, not having an interview for so long I couldn’t tell you how much this helped, we were able to go over the main areas to cover, what pitfalls to avoid and how to sell myself towards them. It worked fantastically, after the interview I could tell it went well, and it did, I got the position working on a Global Budgeting Project. Even thou this position was only for three weeks, Leah gave me the advice to prove myself and show my strengths in other areas, this paid off so well and was so pleased I took Leah’s advice as I ended up within Shire for over four months.

Even after I went on a traveling exhibition I came back very hopeful knowing that Tate wouldn’t let me down and they proved themselves once more Leah and Emma put me up for as many positions they could find in my area. Every single position I was put forward to I was again prepped before each interview, something you hardly find with most agencies.

I had a few Job offers after this but decided to go in a completely different direction when a Marketing Analyst Job came up within Covidien, another Pharmaceutical Company, having worked within the pharmaceutical industry on behalf of Tate before I knew I would enjoy this area. Having no marketing experience at all was something I was a bit nervous about however Leah assured me if I just prove what I could offer them I should be in for a fighting chance and after two interviews both of which again I was fully prepped for I got the Job, this position will now take me to the end of November 2010 and has the possibility of becoming permanent.

One great thing about Tate that you don’t see with many agencies is they have actually been out to see their clients so they know what their like the personalities they have and what they like and dislike in people therefore the preparation before the interview works so well, so you know what to expect from each interview.

Again both Leah and Emma I couldn’t Thank You, and all your working staff enough for what you have done for me and how you have transformed my career Thank You

Best Regards

Terry Valentine
