Basingstoke - candidate testimonial

Having roamed Basingstoke town centre employment agencies I was beginning to get a bit disillusioned about entering the temporary market. I felt most were manned by inexperienced staff who took no interest in understanding my skills or discussing any potential vacancies. Having completed numerous forms I heard very little.
A friend recommended Tate (previously Barker Personnel), I hadn't heard of Tate before. However I was pleasantly surprised at how very professional the recruitment consultants were and what a comfortable environment it was to walk into. The consultant who interviewed me and took the time to understand my background/skills and told me about a number of opportunities they had on their books. Tate were actually going through an office refurbishment at the time but that did not impact the professionalism. I returned the following day to complete some assessments and was given an assignment to start the following Monday. I was very surprised to be given a complete low-down of the company and the people I was going to be working with. I have temped in the past and have never received this level of detail before. It is clear that Tate obviously have very good relationships with their clients.
Following that first assignment I was interviewed for a HR role, which is my background, and offered the job to start the following Monday, my consultant negotiated excellent rates and perfect hours, I have been with Tate for the last 5 months and love it. All in all, I highly recommend Tate as a recruitment agency. Tate is on the Preferred Supplier List at Winterthur-Life and they speak very highly of Tate. I hope that I have a long lasting working relationship with Tate.
